Copper Trails has been recognized by U.S. News and World Report as one of the Best Middle Schools in the nation. Copper Trails Student Council has been awarded Master Council from the Arizona Association of Junior High Student Councils and the Junior Honor Society has been recognized for their community service activities through the National Junior Honor Society.

As an arts school, students have also had the opportunity to perform at Arizona Diamondback games, at the Arizona Department of Education and Arizona Coyote games. Many individual students have received recognition from a variety of arts-based organizations for their work.

Copper Trails School is proud to be part of the Best District in the west valley as voted on by the Best of the Best Awards and the Best of the Desert Awards.
