Volunteer and Chaperone Information

Volunteer Information

Parent Volunteers: Parents and guardians are welcome to volunteer at our school, but must have the Volunteer Agreement Form completed. The form must be turned in at the front office and brought with the volunteer's ID when turned in. Other family members, except for parents/guardians, must complete the Volunteer Agreement Form AND have a current valid fingerprint clearance card in order to volunteer. This form needs to be completed yearly. All volunteers must sign in at the front office with their ID and wear a visitor badge for identification. Classroom teachers will be provided with a list of approved parent volunteers and will reach out directly to parents if a volunteer is needed. All volunteers are expected to maintain confidentiality regarding any student interactions or work.

Chaperones:  Parents and guardians are eligible to chaperone for field trips, but must have the Chaperone Agreement Form completed yearly. The form must be turned in at the front office two weeks prior to the field trip and brought with the chaperone's ID when turned in. Other family members, except for parents/guardians, must complete the Chaperone Agreement Form AND have a current valid fingerprint clearance card in order to chaperone. All chaperones must sign in at the front office with their ID and wear a visitor badge for identification.  It is the responsibility of all staff members to educate and re-educate our chaperones regarding this fact.  Students, family friends, or individuals under the age of 18 who are not enrolled at Copper Trails School may not chaperone on field trips. Chaperones must ride the bus to and from the field trip destination. Siblings of students are not permitted to attend field trips along with chaperones.
